Sister Weight in Tecumseh!

The Area: So...we saw some new people this week that we had not been able to see last transfer because of miles and everything else going on. We saw Sister Bailey, and got to talk to her husband who is a nonmember. One thing that happened this week that made us laugh was....we found our landlord. tracting. Tecumsee really is a small world! It was so funny-he was like "is this a little awkward for you?". We were like no, no....haha yes it was. We taught him a little bit more about our beliefs and he said that we wanted to read the Book of Mormon! Yay!! So excited! We are going to give him one next time we see him around our apartment...I think he was a little wierded out that we found his house.
We met with Sister Appleman, who is a less active woman in our ward. She is super funny and nice, but has lacked the motivation to go to church in a long time. She likes us coming, and this time we talked to her more about why she does not come to church. She was very general about it, but she basically told us at one point that she does not feel needed, and that the ward does not need her. So...we are going to try to bring people from the ward to meet with her and us from here on out. She is an amazing lady, and she just needs to see people and their love for her.
We taught Brother Jeffery again this week. He loves family history! He has 100 hints/leave things on his ancestory.com tree! He has caught the genealogy bug.
Brian is progressing!!! We taught him the Plan of Salvation this week and he LOVED it. He loved the scripture that says "Adam fell that man might be, and men are that they might have joy". It really made him think, and he is continuing to read the scriptures and notice a difference when he does so. We are having a member come to our next lesson this week on Wednesday.
The miracle of the week...we also met Sister Travis for the first time this week. She is a member of 3 years. She was baptized in West Virginia. She is amazing. She has a rocky marriage, and a sixteen year old daughter. She has a job at the Child protection services. She reads her scriptures and continues to pray and review her blessings that she has received in the passed. We are going to try to meet with her this week with a member and then get her to church on Sunday with a member. She just has some anxiety about leaving the house for church when her husband and daughter want nothing to do with it.
Love, Sister Weight
